For each treatment, the procedure consists of short pulses of the laser into the skin. A topical anesthetic is used to limit discomfort. Immediately after treatment, you will experience redness and a sensation similar to a bad sunburn. Patients should also expect flaking of the skin and peeling, however, the overall healing process takes no more than three to seven days.
